As part of our commitments to the local communities the company has developed initiatives that promote and support the local economy, and improve standards of living. Such initiatives include;.
KEEP A GIRL IN SCHOOL PROJECT
Working alongside our local partners, The Imbumba Foundation and the Nelson Mandela Foundation, to provide hygiene support to approximately 600 female students at school in the local area.’
COMPUTER TRAINING AND INTERNET CAFÉ
Ironveld has worked with young woman from the community who have established a small internet café and offer notable internet and email access to the community but also training on computers and the use of commercial programmes.
COMMUNITY DAYS
Ironveld supports various community days organised by the youth in the various communities by supplying care pack, food and prizes for competitions. In addition Ironveld has supplied blankets to the elderly in the community.
